Library Staff Week UJK
W dniach 18–22 maja w Bibliotece UJK gościliśmy uczestników wydarzenia Library Staff Week UJK pod hasłem „The Library. The Heart of Knowledge. Traditions, Innovations & Open Science!”
Spotkanie miało charakter międzynarodowy i stało się okazją do wymiany doświadczeń, prezentacji dobrych praktyk oraz rozmów o roli bibliotek we współczesnym świecie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tradycji, innowacji i otwartej nauki.
W wydarzeniu uczestniczyli goście z Francji, Portugalii, Włoch, Hiszpanii i Bułgarii, którzy podczas pobytu mieli możliwość poznania rozwiązań stosowanych w naszej bibliotece, w tym organizacji pracy, sposobów udostępniania zbiorów, działań wspierających użytkowników, rozwiązań w zakresie informacji naukowej oraz dobrych praktyk związanych z obsługą czytelników oraz rozwojem i promocją nowoczesnych usług bibliotecznych.
Podczas pobytu uczestnicy mieli również okazję poznać Kielce oraz region świętokrzyski, co stanowiło ważny element programu szkoleniowego i pozwoliło przybliżyć gościom bogactwo kulturowe oraz walory naszego regionu.
Library Staff Week został zrealizowany we współpracy z Erasmus+ International UJK oraz Welcome Centre UJK. Dzięki wspólnemu zaangażowaniu możliwe było stworzenie przestrzeni sprzyjającej integracji, dialogowi i międzynarodowej współpracy. Organizacja wydarzenia nie byłaby możliwa bez wsparcia Wydziału Nauk Ścisłych i Przyrodniczych, Instytut Fizyki – Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach, Instytut Chemii UJK w Kielcach, Instytut Literaturoznawstwa i Językoznawstwa UJK Kielce oraz Centrum Mediów i Promocji UJK, Uniwersytecka TV UJK.
Library Staff Week był ważnym i inspirującym przedsięwzięciem, które potwierdziło, jak istotna jest współpraca międzynarodowa oraz wspólne budowanie relacji akademickich opartych na wymianie wiedzy i doświadczeń.
From 18–22 May, the UJK Library had the pleasure of hosting participants of the Library Staff Week UJK event under the theme “The Library: The Heart of Knowledge. Traditions, Innovations & Open Science!”
This international gathering provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experiences, the presentation of best practices, and discussions on the role of libraries in the modern world, with particular emphasis on tradition, innovation, and open science. The event brought together guests from France, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Bulgaria, who had the opportunity to learn about the solutions and practices implemented at our library, including work organization, collection access and management, user support services, scientific information services, and effective approaches to reader engagement, as well as the development and promotion of modern library services.
During their stay, participants also had the opportunity to discover Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie region. This important component of the programme enabled our guests to gain insight into the rich cultural heritage and unique attractions of the region.
Library Staff Week was organized in cooperation with Erasmus+ International UJK and the UJK Welcome Centre. Thanks to the joint commitment and dedication of all partners involved, it was possible to create an environment that fostered integration, dialogue, and international collaboration.
The event would not have been possible without the support of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, the Institute of Physics of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce, the Institute of Chemistry UJK, the Institute of Literary Studies and Linguistics UJK, as well as the UJK Media and Promotion Centre and UJK University TV.
Library Staff Week was an important and inspiring initiative that highlighted the value of international cooperation and the importance of building academic partnerships based on the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and experience.
